Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2010

I absolutely love these pictures from the Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2010 collection! I would rock every one of those outfits, they're gorgeous and all very wearable. Too bad we still have to get through the cold hard winter...
Next to my black craze my favourite colors for clothing are pale pink and lavender, so you can imagine I'm drooling over my keyboard as a madman. When spring comes, I have to find myself lookalikes of the skirt and shoes in picture 3 and the cute top with the belt in picture 4!
Because Burberry, as much as I love you, I still don't have my Visa Black card. Sahrry.

Jimmy Choo for H&M

I'm not exaggerating when I say I've been looking forward to this collaboration for mónths, and I'm not being overly enthusiastic when I say I've been drooling over the collection like our shaggy chocolate coloured Labrador does when my dad's cooking ever since the first sneak peeks got out.
I think I was about thirteen years old when I 'met' Jimmy Choo. I met him through one of the best dressed people in the world, the überglamourgirl Carrie Bradshaw. I can still vividly remember the shiny, silvery sheen of the impossibly high-heeled shoes, of course made by the king of sandals. I've been dreaming of owning a pair of those absolutely droolworthy pieces of eye- and footcandy ever since.

And now, my dream is coming true.

In just 8 days obsessed budget fashionista's like myself can get ourselves a pair of these beauties that will actually be friendly to our wallets. The prices are, of course, a bit steeper than the original H&M prices, but not even close to the piles of cash Mister Choo usually demands for his leather pieces of art. Piles of cash that can buy you a new car, that is.
Known from the last series of collaborations between H&M and designers, especially our own amazing Dutch designer duo Viktor & Rolf and Roberto Cavalli, things are going to be tough in line. And no offense, but I'd like to keep both my legs and not be squished and run over by a herd of crazed and screaming shoppers. So that's why, next friday, I'm going to be curled up on my bed with my laptop and a cup of tea, to order my share of Choo at 10:00 sharp.

I really like some items from the collection a lot. Choo was smart enough to really play with the trends that have been big lately - the collection is very ladylike and pretty, but still has the rockerchick edge due to all the black and all the studs.
I might have expected a little more from the amazing Choo, but to be honest, I'm relieved that I don't absolutely love everything! My bank account wouldn't be happy with that. I think Tamara Mellon (from Jimmy Choo) did a great job though - the shoes are very much Choo, I actually thought the pictures were from the regular line! The clothing is simple but nice, I like the suède trend that's been going on but I'll be getting a cheaper one from the regular H&M line.

As for the collab - I'm going for the black cage heels that caught my eye immediately, they're drop-dead gorgeous and they've been appearing in my dreams since I saw the photo! I'm also getting one of the bracelets, they're übercute!
